<Diagnostic: Column equilibration time>
Ideally, each chromatogram will begin with a completely equilibrated column. In practice, many separations can be run successfully on an incompletely equilibrated column so long as the degree of equilibration is constant from run to run.

If you find that the results from the first run of the day differ from the results of later runs, try varying the equilibration time between runs (gradient) or after a change of mobile phase (isocratic).
